GRADES DO RECIFE FRUIT BOWL

The railings that guard and decorate windows, doors and balconies provide inspiration. The curvilinear shapes - some centuries old and made in iron at the beginning of the last century - are spread over the buildings of the old neighborhoods of the capital of Pernambuco. From them, the new artisans of the Young Artisan Training Program sublimate details to set standards.
 
They capture the rigid design incorporated into the eclecticism of the period's architecture and extract from it the design for the "Grades do Recife" collection composed of a line of vases, lamps, baskets and fruit trees. The production of the objects with an intricate tying of colored threads was consulted by the award-winning designer from Mato Grosso, Sergio Matos.
